NYCRUNS offers prize money for the following half marathons.
- The NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon
- The New Jersey Half Marathon at Newport
- The NYCRUNS Falling Leaves Half Marathon
- The NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon
- The NYCRUNS Central Park Half Marathon (starting in 2025)
Prize money is offered to the top 10 finishers (by gun time) in each of the three gender divisions. First prize for Brooklyn is $2,500 and for all other races it is $1,000. Please see each race page for the full distribution.
For the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon, athletes who meet the following criteria will be eligible for prize money:
- Men: 1:10:00 or faster (gun time)
- Women: 1:20:00 or faster (gun time)
- Non-Binary / Gender Non-Conforming: 1:20:00 or faster (gun time)
- You must have competed only in your registered gender in the 90 days prior to the event
- Your gender must not have been changed on your NYCRUNS profile in the 90 days prior to the event
NYCRUNS also offers complimentary entries to athletes who exceed this criteria. Learn more here.
For the Central Park Half Marathon (starting in 2025); The New Jersey Half Marathon at Newport; Falling Leaves Half Marathon; and the Big Apple Half Marathon, athletes meeting the following criteria will be eligible for prize money:
- You must be an NYCRUNS Member and your account must be in good standing prior to and on race day.
- Men: 1:20:00 or faster (gun time)
- Women: 1:30:00 or faster (gun time)
- Non-Binary / Gender Non-Conforming: 1:30:00 or faster (gun time)
- You must have competed only in your registered gender in the 90 days prior to the event
- Your gender must not have been changed on your NYCRUNS profile in the 90 days prior to the event
