Founded in 2009, NYCRUNS mission is to create the very best running events in New York City and to develop our flagship Brooklyn Half Marathon into one of the most iconic running events in the world. In doing so, we want to be a relentlessly positive part of our customer’s lives; a meaningful partner to local businesses, causes, and runners; and a great employer to our diverse Team.

In 2023, NYCRUNS will stage approximately 20 running events in NYC (and one in New Jersey) for over 75,000 athletes. We’re based in Industry City, a hip office and retail complex in Brooklyn.

ENDURANCE EVENT PRODUCTION: RACE DAY STAFF – PART TIME 

Do you love running and racing? Do you want to help out behind the scenes and support tens of thousands of athletes in their quest to “Win Their Race”? Are you ready to get up really early on the weekends? If, so this may be the place for you. NYCRUNS is always looking for experienced endurance event professionals to join The Team. Our team members are expected to work most of our events and often participate in other facets of production such as event preparation and customer service. We are committed to creating the highest quality part time jobs that we can.

Your role on race day may include supporting Race HQ activities including registration, bib and shirt pick-up or bag check. You could be on the course managing a fluid station with a team of volunteers or making sure runners safely navigate an easy to miss turn on the course . Above all, you’ll be ensuring every participant has a memorable experience from start to finish.

If you:

  • Are a running and racing enthusiast who wants to help others “Win Their Race”
  • Have prior experience working or volunteering on site for running events or other outdoor events
  • Are 18+years old
  • Are available most weekends
  • Are an early bird (Weekend shifts can begin anywhere between 3am – 6am)
  • Want to learn and develop in the world of running race production
