Join over 28,000 runners in America's fastest growing race - the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon on Sunday, April 25, 2027.
Take an epic tour of NYC's coolest borough, from the smooth start in the hip North Brooklyn neighborhoods of Williamsburg and Greenpoint, to the festive finish in Prospect Park. Whether it's the winding route around the East River waterfront under the historic Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges with eye popping views of the Manhattan skyline, or the historic concourses of Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue, you’ll forever remember NYC's most authentic Brooklyn running experience.
Launched in 2011 as the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Marathon in Prospect Park with a few hundred finishers, the half marathon was added to the event in 2018. In 2022, both distances stretched across the borough with a new start in North Brooklyn, before becoming a standalone half marathon in 2023. In 2026, an event record 28,052 runners finished the race, making it the third largest half marathon and the fastest growing race in the nation.
Feel the vibe and see for yourself what the NYC running community is buzzing about...experience Brooklyn in 2027!

All deferrals must be made 10 days (4/15/27) or more before the race. If you defer your entry within 10 days of the race, you’ll receive 50% off your entry fee for 2027. Eligible add-ons will be deferred to 2028 as well. You’ll be able to claim your deferral later in 2027. Deferrals are counted against the four (4) total Any-Reason Withdrawals you receive in a membership year and are subject to the same Any-Reason Withdrawal guidelines.
Details regarding the pre-race Expo will be announced early in 2027. This is where you'll pick up your race bib and official participant shirt (if you don't purchase Bib & Shirt Mailing), check any items you want to pick up after the race, shop for official Brooklyn Experience gear, visit with exhibitors, and more.
Bib & Shirt Pickup - You must pick up your race bib and official race shirt prior to race day at the Expo (if there not being mailed to you). Bib pick up will not be available on race morning. You’ll receive an email with your unique QR code a few weeks prior to the race (it’ll also be available on your NYCRUNS Dashboard). You’ll need to show your QR code to pick up your bib and shirt. You can have another runner pick up your bib and shirt for you, as long as they have a screenshot of your QR code. Bib transfers are strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification. As per NYCRUNS policy and for the safety of all runners, only you can run with the bib that's assigned to you.
Bag Check - If you want to check a bag, you'll have to do so prior to race day at the Expo. Bag Check will not be available on race morning. You can check one single clear bag, which we can provide you with (18" x 24") if you don’t have one. Bags will be available for pickup in the post-finish Festival Area in Prospect Park.
Have your bib and shirt mailed to you at home and avoid having to come to the pre-race Expo to pick them up. Both the bib and shirt will be delivered to the address on your NYCRUNS account in the weeks leading up to race day. The cost is $35. Sign up for Bib & Shirt Mailing at checkout when you register for the race. Bib & Shirt Mailing is not available for international addresses.
Your start wave and corral will be assigned a few weeks prior to race day. Wave and Corral assignments will be based on the pace indicated in the Profile section of your NYCRUNS Dashboard. Pace times will be spread out throughout the multiple wave starts.
We strongly recommend that you take public transit to the Start. Due to road closures, traffic will be heavy and street parking will be difficult. Always check mta.info for the most up-to-date mass transit information.
Take the L train to Bedford Avenue or the G train to Metropolitan Avenue. We recommend not taking the G to Nassau Avenue as street closures and security barriers will make it difficult to walk from there to the Start Area entrance. If you’re getting a ride, use Meeker Avenue between Frost Street & Graham Avenue as your target destination. Vehicles won’t be able to get any closer and it’s a short walk to the Start Area entrance from there.
Further Start Area details will be shared closer to race day.
