How Long Do I Have to Cross the Finish Line?

We have athletes, runners, and walkers of all paces, and we’re happy to have you no matter your running speed.

Check out the following maximum finish times and paces for all of our races (unless otherwise noted on a particular race page):

5K: 1 hour, 2 minutes (20:00 min/mi pace)

5 Miles: 1 hour, 40 minutes (20 min/mi pace)

10K: 2 hour, 05 minutes (20:00 min/mi pace)

10 Miles: 2 hours, 30 minutes (15 min/mi pace)

Half-Marathon: 3 Hours, 30 Minutes (16 min/mi pace)

Marathon: 6 hours, 35 Minutes (15 min/mi pace)

As long as you meet these requirements, you can rest assured your efforts will be supported with hydration stations, course amenities, and proper medical coverage. If you cannot maintain the minimum pace at an NYCRUNS event, your finish time may not be recorded and you may be asked to remove yourself from competition by either vacating the course or surrendering your race bib. Please understand that these practices are in place for your safety.
