Join us for America's fastest growing race featuring over 25,000 runners in 2025!
Last year, an event-record 21,727 runners took part in this classic Brooklyn running experience.
The one-of-a-kind, bucket list run starts in hip North Brooklyn and winds around the waterfront taking you under the historic Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges while delivering eye popping views of the Manhattan skyline.
From there, the route heads up the historic concourses of Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue before passing through Grand Army Plaza and into fabled brownstone Brooklyn, finishing with a super fun post-race hang in Prospect Park.
See for yourself what the NYC running community is buzzing about (and if you want a friend of family member to join you, buy a gift entry for them to use too)!
The USATF-certified* course will be electronically timed using the MYLAPS Bibtag system. There will be timing (split) points and clocks throughout the course. Hydration stations and restrooms will be available every 1-2 miles. Medical support will be available throughout the course.
The Prospect Park Track Club will be providing pace teams for 1:30 - 3:00 paces.

We welcome Handcycle Division and Wheelchair Division athletes at this race as well as at the New Jersey Half Marathon at Newport, and all of our 5K races in Prospect Park, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, and Central Park. If your account reflects that you are in one of these divisions, you will automatically be entered into it when you register for this race. You can change your designation at any time in the Profile section of your NYCRUNS Dashboard. To ensure a safe race experience for all, Handcycle & Wheelchair Division athletes must be at the Start line ready to race at least 30 minutes before the race’s published start time.
The NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon Expo at ZeroSpace is where you'll pick up your race bib and official race shirt (if they’re not mailed to you), bag check any items you'll want to pick up after the race, shop for official Brooklyn Experience Half merch, and more.
ZeroSpace is located at 345 Butler St. in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Take the subway (2/3, 4/5, B/D, or N/Q/R) to Atlantic Ave.-Barclays Center. Walk along 4th Ave. to Butler St. The Expo entrance at ZeroSpace is between 3rd Ave. and 4th Ave. You can also take the bus (B103) or use Citi Bike (stations on 3rd Ave and 4th Ave.). Check MTA Trip Planner for further details. Street parking is limited.
You must pick up your race bib and official race shirt in-person at the Expo (unless you've chosen to have them mailed to you). Bib & shirt pickup will not be available on race morning. You’ll need to show the unique QR code that will be emailed to you prior to the race (and also available on your NYCRUNS Dashboard). You can print a hard copy, take a screen shot, or add the QR code to your Apple Wallet. You can have another runner or other proxy pick up your bib and shirt for you. The proxy must have a screenshot of the race QR confirmation code of the runner(s) they are picking up the bib(s) for.
As per NYCRUNS policy and for the safety of all runners, only you can run with the bib that's assigned to you. Bib transfers are strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.
Bag check will be available at the Expo only. There will be no race day bag check. Bags will be available for pickup after 8:30 AM at the Post-Race Festival Area.
Can't make it to the pre-race Expo to pick up your bib and shirt? Purchase Bib & Shirt Mailing and you'll receive them both approximately a month before the race. Bibs and shirts can only be mailed within the United States. The cost for bib and shirt mailing is $45. Sign up for this benefit at check out before the opportunity closes.
NYCRUNS uses a pace-based corral system. Your start corral will be assigned a few weeks prior to race day. There will be four waves, each with Corrals A through F. Wave and Corral assignments will be based on the pace indicated in the Profile section of your NYCRUNS Dashboard.
Swag - Every runner will receive our limited edition 2025 NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon RACE SHIRT which you'll pick up at the race week Expo (or have it mailed to you for an extra charge). Once you've accomplished your goal, a 2025 NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon FINISHER MEDAL will be bestowed upon you when you cross the Finish Line. In order to cut down on waste, we avoid ordering more shirts than we need; thus, sizes are not guaranteed.
Post-Finish - After crossing the Finish Line, it's time to refresh and replenish with additional hydration options, Brooklyn's best bagel (with a shmear of course), fresh fruit, and more fun goodies!
Photos - Runners will receive an email from MarathonFoto several days after the race with information about your complimentary finish line photo and details on how to purchase photos of your entire run along the course. You can also sign up for the photo package at checkout to get it at the best price.
Bag Check - Will be available at the race week Expo only. There will be no race day bag check. If you plan on checking items, you must use one single clear bag. If your bag isn't clear, NYCRUNS will provide you with a clear bag (18" x 24"). You may not put another full bag/backpack/briefcase filled with gear inside the clear bag that NYCRUNS provides. All items must fit inside one clear bag. NYCRUNS reserves the right to search the contents in your bag at any time. Bags will be available to pickup after you finish at the Festival Area in Prospect Park.
