Join us for America's fastest growing half marathon! In 2024, an event-record 21,727 runners took part in this classic Brooklyn running experience.
The iconic route starts in hip North Brooklyn and winds around the waterfront taking you under the historic Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges while delivering eye popping views of Manhattan.
From there, the route heads up the historic concourses of Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue before passing through Grand Army Plaza and into fabled brownstone Brooklyn before finishing in Prospect Park.
The USATF-certified* course will be electronically timed using the MYLAPS Bibtag system. There will be timing (split) points and clocks throughout the course. Hydration stations and restrooms will be available every 1-2 miles. Medical support will be available throughout the course.
The Prospect Park Track Club will be providing pace teams for for 1:30 - 3:00 paces.

NYCRUNS uses a pace-based corral system. You will line up for the Start in the Corral printed on your bib. Your Corral will be based on the pace you entered at the time of registration. Corrals will line up from AA through F.
NYCRUNS is known for putting on running events of the highest quality. After the race, change into your NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon race shirt* that you'll pick up at the Expo in the days leading up to the race and wear your hard-earned medal with pride! When you finish, enjoy bottles of smartwater, fresh Brooklyn bagels (with a shmear of course), NYS apples and more!
You will receive an email from MarathonFoto several days after the race with information about your complimentary finish line photo and details on how to purchase photos of your entire run along the course. You can also sign up for the photo package at checkout and get them at the best price.
Bag check will be available, but at the Expo only. There will be no race day bag check. If you plan on checking a bag, you must use the single clear bag provided by NYCRUNS. You may not put another full bag/backpack/briefcase inside the clear bag. All items must fit inside the clear bag. NYCRUNS reserves the right to search your bag at any time. Bags will be available to pickup in Prospect Park at approximately 8:30 AM on race day.

The Finish line, Post-Finish and Festival Areas at the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon are all secure areas with limited access. Finish Line Access Passes are the only way for family members and friends to see you at the Finish Line and hang out with you in the Post Race Festival Area.

You must pick up your race bib and t-shirt in-person at the Expo, unless you signed up for a VIP package which includes bib mailing. Bib pickup will not be available on race morning, and you may not run without a bib. Details on the dates and location of the Expo will be announced later this year.
Results will be emailed and the full results will be posted on our results page after the race. If you do not see your result online or receive an email with your finish time, please fill out this form.
Awards will be given to the top three overall male, female and non-binary finishers (by gun time) as well as the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers in each of the following age groups (by net time): 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and over.
Qualified elite athletes will be granted complimentary entry and entrance to the elite corral if they meet the following standards which may be revised before the program is open:
Women: Between 1/1/2024 and 2/28/2025, you must have run a time below 1:20 in a half marathon. The qualifying course must be certified and the results verifiable. Your gender for the qualifying race must match your gender choice for the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon.
Men: Between 1/1/2024 and 2/28/2025, you must have run a time below 1:10 in a half marathon. The qualifying course must be certified and the results verifiable. Your gender for the qualifying race must match your gender choice for the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon.
Non-Binary/Gender Non-Conforming: Between 1/1/2024 and 2/28/2025, you must have run a time below 1:20 in a half marathon. The qualifying course must be certified and the results verifiable. Your gender for the qualifying race must match your gender choice for the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon.
Should you not have been able to register as NB/GNC for a given race, please supply a broader history indicating you have been competing as NB/GNC where possible.
Prize money will only be awarded to athletes who complete the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon in a gun time faster than the qualifying time outlined above. Athletes may be subject to drug testing and other validation as deemed necessary to ensure a fair and equal field.

Fifth Place: $250
Sixth - Tenth Place: $100

Driving is not recommended due to limited street parking and the point to point nature of the course.

You may be disqualified if earbuds or headphones hinder your awareness.
All NYCRUNS races have time limits. You must remain on pace to finish within the time limit to receive course support and an official finish time. If you fall behind pace and are directed off the course by a race marshal, please follow the instruction given for safety purposes.
