Start on Eastern Parkway near the Brooklyn Museum and take a tour through historic Brooklyn USA. The race will showcase Brooklyn neighborhoods including Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, Windsor Terrace, and Kensington and finish in iconic Prospect Park. Start race weekend off at the City Point Brooklyn Marathon & Half Marathon Expo in downtown Brooklyn where you'll have a chance to see what Brooklyn living is all about.
NYCRUNS is known for putting on running events of the highest quality. After the race, change into your NYCRUNS Brooklyn Marathon & Half Marathon race shirt* and wear your incredible medal (see medal to the right) with pride! Enjoy a fresh New York bagel (with a shmear of cream cheese of course), New York State apples, and more while listening to a world class DJ and seeing your friends cross the finish line. Your friends can track you and you can revisit your race by checking out the app and digging on the free photos taken along the course and at the finish line (video too!).
The USATF Certified courses will be electronically timed using the MYLAPS Bibtag system. There will be timing (split) points and clocks throughout the course.
Water, Gatorade, and restrooms will be available approximately every 1.5 miles, and medical support will be available throughout the course.

If you did not receive your bib by mail or you want to switch distances, you must come to the City Point Expo at BKLYN Studios or send someone on your behalf. There is absolutely no pickup available on race day.
The City Point expo will take place: Thursday October 18th - 3 PM - 8 PM and Friday October 19th - 10 AM - 7 PM.
You (or the person you designate) will need two pieces of information in order to pick up your bib.
1. Photo ID or a copy of it (A photo on your phone is OK)
2. Your bib number. There are two ways to get your bib #.
If you registered before 10/9, your bib number was emailed to you on 10/9. Check your spam filter if you do not see this email and whitelist the address email@example.com
If you registered after 10/9, you will receive an email with your bib # by noon on 10/18, the first day of the expo.
The NYCRUNS Brooklyn Marathon & Half Marathon App
You can download the app from the iTunes and Google Play stores. It is free of charge, though you will be required to sign in to use this function.
To find your bib #, click on the title “Find Your Bib & Track Your Runners” Your bib should already be listed if you registered before 10/9. If you registered 10/9 or later, your bib will be listed by noon on 10/18, the first day of the expo.
If you cannot find your bib # via the app and you have not received an email, please visit the “Solutions” table at the City Point Expo.

NYCRUNS members receive a 10% discount, race deferral rights, and other perks.
All registrants can transfer from one distance to the other, assuming space is available in the desired distance. NYCRUNS members who transfer from marathon to half marathon will receive the difference in price in the form of race credit. Those who wish to transfer from half marathon to marathon need only pay the difference. Runners transferring will need to exchange their bib at the City Point expo if they already possess it. Please contact us to start the transfer process.
If registering on or before September 25th, you can choose to have your bib & shirt mailed to you for an additional fee of $25. You must choose this option when registering and the packet must be mailed to the address you enter at that time. Shipping to domestic US addresses only. Bib & shirt mailing is included when you become a VIP!

Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers as well as the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-55, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and over.

You like your bling and you want everyone to know how hardcore you are? If so, then signup for either the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Marathon or the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon and the NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon and we suspect you'll have something to show off not long after you have completed both races, though it will be a bit bigger for Brooklyn Marathoners. Everyone's a winner, but there's a secondary competitive aspect to this as well, that we have to keep under wraps until after Brooklyn. Just trust us.

Please take public transportation if possible. The 2/3 Train to Grand Army Plaza is steps from the start and the Q is not much further. The 2/3 stop at Eastern Parkway - Brooklyn Museum stop will be closed. Please check mta.info for the most up to date information on public transportation.
Driving is not recommended due to limited street parking.
The standard no-refunds, no-deferrals, no-transfers policy applies, unless you are signed up for the NYCRUNS Membership Program. NYCRUNS members receive a 10% discount, race deferral rights, and other perks. Strollers or dogs are not allowed in NYCRUNS races and you may be disqualified if earbuds or headphones hinder your awareness. You must remain on pace to finish within the time limit in order to receive course support and an official finish time.
