HANDCYCLE/WHEELCHAIR ATHLETES

Due to the high number of turns in this course, we do not advise handcycle or wheelchair athletes participate in this event. We’d suggest registering for the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon or any of our races in Prospect Park & Central Park.

AMENITIES

Bag check will be provided. If you plan on checking a bag, you must use the single clear bag provided by NYCRUNS. You may not put another full bag/backpack/briefcase inside the clear bag. All items must fit inside the clear bag. NYCRUNS reserves the right to search your bag at any time.

Portable restrooms will be available for use throughout the event.

Water will be available on the course and at the finish. Bagels, spreads, fresh fruit, tricks and treats, will make up the usual great NYCRUNS post race spread to replenish you at the finish line.

The giveaway for this race will be a tech shirt*.

Free finish line photos will be available within a week of the race. You will receive an email from MarathonFoto several days after the race to claim your photos.

* In order to cut down on waste, we try not to overorder and sizes are not guaranteed.

BIB & SHIRT DISTRIBUTION

If you register up to ten days before the event using a domestic address, your bib will be mailed to you for no additional cost. Please make sure the shipping address provided at the time of registration will be valid in the month preceding the race.

If you register after that, use an international address, or your bib doesn't arrive in the mail, you must pick up your bib before the race.

Shirts may be picked up on race day only. Please pick up as early as possible in order to ensure you get the size you want.

DIRECTIONS

The Governors Island Ferry from Manhattan is how you get to the race, and your ferry ride is included in your race registration. The 4, 5 to Bowling Green; the R to Whitehall St.; the J to Broad St.; or the 1 to South Ferry are the closest subway stops to the Ferry Terminal at Battery Maritime Building at 10 South Street.

Please arrive at the Ferry Terminal between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM if you are running the 5K and before 8 AM if you are running the 10K.

Taking the Governors Island ferry from Manhattan is your best option for arriving on time. Other ferry services may be available but are not recommended.

Please check MTA Trip Planner for up-to-date and detailed mass transit directions and Google Maps for driving directions. Driving is not recommended due to the lack of parking near the ferry.
