The Least You Need to Know on Race Day!

The NYCRUNS Building Brooklyn 5K Run/Walk benefiting the Prospect Park Alliance on Tuesday, June 18 in Prospect Park is taking place as scheduled. It’s warm, so please take it easy, hydrate, and listen to your body. We’ll have hydration stations at the start, finish, and on the course, as well as medical support on the course and at the post-finish Festival Area.

– The race starts at 7:00 PM.

Bib and shirt distribution will start at 5:00 PM. The start line will close 10 minutes after the race begins. Late starts will not be allowed.

– The start corral is in Prospect Park where Wellhouse Drive meets West Drive.

You may go straight to the start if you already have your bib.

– Bibs & Shirts for all!

If you need to pick up your bib, go to the Festival area in the Neathermead before going to the start. Race shirts can be picked up before or after the race, also in the Festival Area at the Neathermead. Keep this email handy since you will have to show the QR code on it to get your bib and shirt (it’s also on your NYCRUNS dashboard under upcoming races.)

– Take mass transit.

The closest subway stops are the B/Q at Prospect Park and the F/G at 15th Street/Prospect Park. Coming from the B/Q, enter the park at Lincoln Road, head over East Lake Drive and then follow Wellhouse Drive to the start. Coming from the F/G, go along Prospect Park Southwest to the 16th Street entrance and follow West Drive to the start.

– Check out the course map.

Get familiar with the (nearly) one-loop park course including the Start, Finish, hydration stations, and the Festival area at the Neathermead, which is where you’ll find race registration, bag check, and most importantly, where the bathrooms are!

– This race benefits the Prospect Park Alliance.

A portion of your race fee is being donated to the PPA and you can sign up to keep our park green, vibrant, and welcoming.
