Join us as we return to Prospect Park for a wonderful spring 5K benefitting CAMBA and kick off the countdown to NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon with a 10 mile training run.
Both the 5K and 10 Mile races are timed.
When you register for the race, you'll have the opportunity to donate to CAMBA. CAMBA is one of the city’s largest and most trusted community-based organizations helping over 65,000 people a year. Your support helps CAMBA feed the hungry, prevent homelessness, build more affordable and supportive housing, and through our college access programs, give low-income youth a solid foundation for their future. CAMBA emphasizes building economic stability by offering a variety of targeted services and resources, including adult literacy classes, job readiness and placement services.
$100 provides food to a hungry family for a week.
$250 provides textbooks to a class of immigrants to learn English and access jobs.
$500 supports college prep classes for low-income youth.
$1,000 helps provide legal services for families at risk of eviction and homelessness.
Your support helps transform lives and together we can build a better and brighter future for our communities.
The 5K course is comprised of just under one full loop. The 10 Miler is approximately three full loops of Prospect Park.
All NYCRUNS courses are USATF-certified.
Bag Check - If you plan on checking a bag, you must use the single clear bag provided by NYCRUNS. You may not put another full bag/backpack/briefcase inside the clear bag. All items must fit inside the clear bag. NYCRUNS reserves the right to search your bag at any time.
Toilets - Portable restrooms will be available for use throughout the event.
Refreshments - Water and electrolyte beverage will be available on the course and at the finish. Bagels, cream cheese, and fresh fruit will make up the usual great NYCRUNS post-race spread to replenish you at the finish line.
Swag - The giveaway for this event will be a shirt. Shirts may be picked up on event day only. In order to cut down on waste, we avoid ordering more than we need; thus, sizes are not guaranteed. If you have your heart set on a size, we recommend picking up your shirt before the race.
Photos - Free finish line photos will be available within a week of the race. You will receive an email from MarathonFoto several days after the race to claim your photos.
If you register thirty days or more before the event using a domestic address, your bib will be mailed to you at no additional cost. Please make sure the shipping address provided at the time of registration will be valid in the month preceding the race.
If you register less than 30 days before race day, or you have an international address, and your bib doesn't arrive in the mail, you must pick up your bib on race day no more than an hour before your start time.
Awards will be given to the top three male, female and non-binary runners overall in each race.
Age group awards in the 5K will be awarded to the top three in each the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over.
