What is the NYCRUNS InterClub Challenge?

The NYCRUNS InterClub Challenge, a series of races where runners represent their Run Club of choice.

The six-race series in 2027 will kick off on January 10 in Central Park with the NYCRUNS Frozen Penguin 5K, followed by the NYCRUNS Prospect Park 5k on April 11, and the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon on April 25.

Three more races in the second half of the year will be announced in early 2027.

Eligible Run Clubs will be listed on the Club section of our website. All you need to do is add your Run Club affiliation to your Account Profile located on your NYCRUNS Dashboard (if you haven’t already). If you’re a club leader, this is an excellent time to make sure your club information is up to date.

All club runners regardless of speed will have an opportunity to earn points. Points will also be earned by top finishers in age and gender categories.

The clubs who lead in points at the end of the year will receive a cash donation to their non-profit of choice, and the adulation of the NYCRUNS running community.

Runners do not have to be in a club to participate in NYCRUNS events.
