NYCRUNS welcomes any participant to our events and we will do anything we can to make accommodations where necessary. However, at some of our races we may ask handcycle and wheelchair racers to participate only in a certain distance due to the layout of a particular course or we may advise against registering for a race with a high number of turns.
We suggest registering for the following races: NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon, NYCRUNS Falling Leaves Half Marathon & 5K, NYCRUNS Cocoa Classic Half Marathon & 5K, NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon & 5K, or NYCRUNS Central Park Half Marathon & 5K,
If you’d like to register for an event as a handcycle or wheelchair athlete, please submit your race registration and then fill out our contact form, so that we can account for you in our handcycle and wheelchair athlete start, (an early start of approximately 2-5 minutes is common in the case of handcycle and wheelchair athletes). We will be in touch with you about start logistics as we get closer to the race!
