NYCRUNS seeks a dynamic and experienced person to join our team as Timing & Technology Manager. This person will be a core member of the Event Operations Team, lead our Event Day Timing Team, assist in developing our internal technology stack, and further our development of data driven tools and analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all timing and connectivity operations for our portfolio of approximately 20 running events.
Maintain and support all timing equipment.
Provide end to end data support throughout the customer journey from registration to results.
Train The Team in the operation of timing and connectivity equipment.
Train The Team in scoring and the rules of competition.
Contribute to internal development of the NYCRUNS technology stack.
Spearhead data collection and analysis efforts in service of business and operational goals.
Assist with planning and contracting staff and vendors.
Work collaboratively on the development of new events.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of relevant experience in the endurance industry.
Extensive experience with a major timing system, preferably Mylaps.
Experience with race scoring and knowledge of the fundamental underpinnings as they relate to the rules of competition.
An understanding of basic networking fundamentals, e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, wireless and wired networking.
Outstanding communication skills.
Strong Excel skills and the proven ability to do basic data analysis.
Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse group of people
Availability to work weekends and ability to participate in evening Teams meetings, as required.
Self-driven with an ability to prioritize, create timelines and hold yourself accountable
Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a medium to large truck (CDL not required)
Bachelor’s Degree at minimum.
Additionally, candidates who have extensive Microsoft 365 administration skills are highly desirable.

SALARY & BENEFITS
The minimum compensation amount for this role is targeted at $85,000. Final offer amounts will be determined by multiple factors including your experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.
