Sold Out NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon Welcomes over 20,000 Runners to the Borough’s Iconic Streets on Sunday, April 28

April 25, 2024, Brooklyn, New York – NYCRUNS, the Brooklyn-based organizer of running events in New York City, will host over 20,000 runners at the sold-out NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon on Sunday, April 28. The event features a one-of-a-kind course running through the most iconic neighborhoods in Brooklyn.

The 2024 NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon features a host of event partners, local business and cause-focused organizations supporting the Brooklyn running community. Headlining the partner roster are the Official Water Partner, smartwater and Official Hydration Partner, Nuun Hydration, along with the event’s Signature Charity Partner, NYU Langone Health, who has 150 runners raising money to end cancer disparities in Brooklyn.

A number of Brooklyn-based organizations and businesses are engaged with the event. ZeroSpace in Gowanus is hosting the 2024 NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon Expo on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, featuring Red Hook-based Sixpoint Brewery. The Prospect Park Track Club will provide Pacers for the race while the Prospect Park Alliance will welcome over 20,000 runners and their supporters at the finish.

The iconic race route starts in hip North Brooklyn and winds around the waterfront taking runners under the historic Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges while delivering eye popping views of Manhattan. Runners then head up the historic concourses of Fulton Street & Flatbush Avenues before passing through Grand Army Plaza and into fabled brownstone Brooklyn, before finishing in Prospect Park.

First run in 2018 with a few thousand runners in Prospect Park and the surrounding streets, the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon has quickly become one of the nation’s most popular running events. After a two-year pandemic forced hiatus in 2020 and 2021, the event returned in 2022 with a new street course that takes runners on a picturesque tour of North and Downtown Brooklyn.
