What Can I Expect as a Volunteer on Race Day?

Volunteers may assist NYCRUNS staff on the course at fluid stations or in the Festival and Post-Finish areas helping runners check their bags and distribute post-finish amenities such as snacks and fluids. There are also Volunteer roles at the pre-race Expo for the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon. We’ll be in touch prior to the race with all the details. Volunteers should wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes (waterproof also a plus) and bring only what you can carry in your pockets (and/or a small bag such as a pocketbook or fanny pack). Safety vests will be issued to you to wear over your clothes.
