Yonkers Marathon & Half Marathon

The 2nd oldest marathon in the world continued it’s rebirth last year under the stewardship of NYCRUNS. While maintaining a community vibe, this race topped 1,000 participants for the first time since the 1980s and is now firmly on the road back to greatness.
This year, the race moves two weeks later in hopes of getting some cooler weather and some hotter times!

Time Limit: The official time limit is 5 hours. Runners have to be able to maintain a sub-5 hour finish pace in order to receive course support, official results and a finisher’s medal.
Awards: Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female runners in each race and the top 3 in each ten year age group.

Saturday, September 28: Cafe Hudson, Yonkers, NY from 1-5 PM
Sunday, September 29 (race day): Cafe Hudson, Yonkers, NY beginning at 6 AM
Amenities: A great long sleeve race shirt and an amazing finisher medal will be included. Bag check and toilets will be provided. Bagels, spreads, and fresh fruit will make up the usual great NYCRUNS post race spread.
Public Transportation Directions: Take Metro North’s Hudson line to Yonkers. Metro North train service from Grand Central takes 26-31 minutes at most times. Please check MTA Trip Planner for up to date and detailed mass transit directions.
Driving Directions: Parking is limited, we encourage you to use mass transit. From Saw Mill River Parkway Northbound and Southbound Exit 5, Yonkers Avenue West. At end of exit, turn right onto Yonkers Avenue. Follow for about 2 miles, becoming Nepperhan Avenue. Make right onto Riverdale Avenue. In a 1/4 mile, make a left onto Dock St and then a right on to Atherton. Free parking lot is at end and available until 7:00 AM when Dock St. closes. Alternate Parking (paid): Take Nepperhan Avenue to Buenavista and make a right. Lot is on Buenavista. Please check Google Maps for additional information.
Cost: The marathon is currently priced at $60 and the half at $50. On September 19, the price of the marathon increases to $70 and the half to $60. On September 23, the price of the marathon increases to $80 and the half to $70. Once pre-race packet pickup begins, the price of the marathon increases to $100 and the half to $80. NYCRUNS members receive a 5% discount, race deferral rights, and other perks. Online registration is now closed. You may register in person with cash.
