This race is run on the Colonial Greenway, a giant wooded trail loop through New Rochelle, Mamaroneck, Eastchester and Scarsdale. Approximately 12 of the 13.1 miles are run on dirt (and rocks, roots, and other foresty things).
We'll be using chip timing with wave starts again next year.
We guarantee shirts to those that register before Sep 1. Because there will be some no shows, any leftovers will be distributed after the race on a first come, first served basis.
A Note About T-Shirt Sizing: Shirt sizing is gender specific and you will receive the selected size for your gender. Our shirt and swag policy can be found at this link.
In order for us to properly seed runners between wave
starts, you must enter your estimated road 10K time and pace. Please also enter your fastest road half marathon time in the last 3 years and your fastest prior Paine to Pain time and year.
An explanation of our policy can be found here.
This is a trail race with limited water stops. Water will be provided at miles 4, 7.5 and 11. Runners should strongly consider carrying supplemental fluids and fuel.
Medical attention will be available at each aid station.
Toilets will be available at the start, mile 7.5 and the finish.
