NYCRUNS Riverside Park Summer Series (entire series)Claim Race (Race Directors Only)
May 29, 2013Start time: 7:00 PM
The Lousy T-Shirt race on May 15th kicks off our Riverside Park Summer Series — a 5K every other Wednesday, each costing just $10. It’s a great deal – you pay less, and we don’t try as hard to please you. Remarkably, with expectations dramatically lower, everyone has a much better time. You can also register for the whole series here. This begins on 5/15 and concludes on 8/21.
Runners who register for the whole series get one bib for each race (don’t lose it!) and a high-quality NYCRUNS Lousy T-Shirt!
Course Instructions: The course begins and finishes near 108th Street inside Riverside Park. You will head north to 116th Street before turning back down the footpath along the eastern edge of the park. You will then follow the path down to about 96th Street before turning north again at Dinosaur Park and going back exactly the way you came. The course is challenging, but offers plenty of downhills to make up for the uphills! Plus, terrific views of the Hudson River and Palisades Park across the way might help you forget how tough the course really is. Course Map
