Bring it on down to the Bay Ridge waterfront for this cold-weather classic: Our flat and happy course will warm your soul with killer views of lower Manhattan, the container ships heading to the Bayonne, tug boats pushing their loads, and fisherman trying their luck under the Verrazano bridge. Bundle up for this out-and-back course, then warm up with a mug or two of hot chocolate, fresh New York bagels and fruit at the finish line. BYO marshmallows!
Run along the super flat and scenic running path that hugs the southern edge of Brooklyn. You’ll see the Manhattan skyline from across the harbor and enjoy New York running from a whole new perspective.
Bag check and toilets will be provided. The giveaway for this race will be a cocoa mug. Hot cocoa, bagels, spreads, fresh fruit and more will make up the usual great NYCRUNS post race spread to greet you at the finish line.
There is an optional shirt available for purchase, but you must purchase it as part of your registration. This shirt will not be for sale on race day.
Race day packet pickup will be available in the festival near the starting line beginning at 7:30 AM. There will be no off site packet pickup for this event
Bib mailing is available for this race for participants registered through 10/25. You must choose this option when registering and the bib must be mailed to the address you choose then. Shipping to domestic US addresses only. The cost is $15.00. Note: Shirts will not be mailed. They will be available for pickup before or after the race.

Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners overall. Age group awards in the 5K will be awarded to the top three in each the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over. Our awards policies are available here.

Take the R train to Bay Ridge Avenue and walk downhill to Shore Road Park. Please check MTA Trip Planner for up to date and detailed mass transit directions and Google Maps for driving directions. Parking is limited at all of our events, we strongly encourage you to use mass transit.
The standard no-refunds, no-deferrals, no-transfers policy applies, unless you are signed up for the NYCRUNS Membership Program. NYCRUNS members receive a 10% discount, race deferral rights, and other perks. Strollers or dogs are not allowed in NYCRUNS races and you may be disqualified if earbuds or headphones hinder your awareness.
