NYCRUNS Memorial Day Ice Cream Social 5 & 10K

Join us for the 2nd annual NYCRUNS Ice Cream Social on Roosevelt Island! This event is our summer season kick-off and what better way to celebrate summer than with ice cream?
Awards: Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female runners overall in each race and the top 3 in each ten-year age group approximately one hour after each race begins.
Packet Pickup: Packet pickup will also be available on race day beginning at 8:00 AM. Packet pickup prior to race day will be available but the details are TBD. It will most likely be on Friday 5/23.
Amenities: Bag check and toilets will be provided. Bagels, spreads, fresh fruit and ice cream will make up the usual great NYCRUNS post race spread. The giveaway for this race will be a pint glass.
NYCRUNS’ protein beverage sponsor, Muscle Milk, will be at the race with tons of free
product samples, including ice-cold Muscle Milk recovery sports nutrition drink, and an awesome recovery area, featuring yoga mats and foam rollers for your convenience. Muscle Milk’s representatives will also be onsite to answer all of your recovery questions.
Directions: Take the F train or Tram to Roosevelt Island. All pre- and post-race activities are on Firefighters Field, a short walk from public transit, just north of both starting areas and just south of the finish. Please check MTA Trip Planner for up to date and detailed mass transit directions and Google Maps for driving directions. Parking is limited at all of our events, we strongly encourage you to use mass transit.
Cost: $25 through 3/31, $30 through 5/11, and $40 thereafter. NYCRUNS members receive a 5% discount, race deferral rights, and other perks. Race day registration (if available) is cash only. Register early and save us all a lot of hassle!
