If you haven’t raced in Central Park in winter you’re in for an off-season treat. You’d never know that the clogged streets of 5th avenue and Central Park West are only a few yards away. The park is quiet and peaceful, with just the sounds of runners’ footsteps to serenade you.
Please be aware that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all aspects of this race are extremely subject to change.
COVID-19 has changed many things about our events. The following procedures will be in effect for this event:
Prior to the race you will receive details on exact procedures for this event.
This race will start near East 72nd Street and end near West 72nd Street. Course map forthcoming.
We will start the race in multiple socially distant waves, from 8 AM until 12:30 PM. Your wave will be pre-determined and may not be changed. We cannot advise you of exact wave time until the week of the race. Please arrive no more than 30 minutes prior to your wave to avoid crowding on the race site.
Bag check will be provided. To reduce interaction with staff, we encourage you to avoid checking a bag. If you plan on checking a bag, you must use the single clear bag provided by NYCRUNS. You may not put another full bag/backpack/briefcase inside the clear bag. All items must fit inside the clear bag. NYCRUNS reserves the right to search your bag at any time.
Toilets will be provided and cleaned throughout the event.
Water at the finish will be delivered in a goodie bag along with Gatorade, Dole Fruit Bowls in 100% Juice and other snacks.
The giveaway for this race is to be determined. Free finish line photos will be available on your results page within a week of the race.
There will be no pre-race or race day pickup for this event. Bib mailing is the only way to get your bib for this race and is included in the cost of registration. You must have your bib in hand to enter the race site.
Please make sure the shipping address provided at the time of registration will be valid when bibs are shipped, 2-4 weeks before the race.
See chart below. NYCRUNS members receive a 10% discount, race deferral rights, and other perks. Race day registration (if available) is cash or credit, no checks please. Register early to make things easier for us and cheaper for you!
Finish line photos will also be available on the results page within several days. There will be no awards for this event.
Due to COVID-19 we are not accepting volunteers for this race. Please check our Volunteer Page to see available shifts for other events. Volunteering at any of these upcoming events will earn you $50 in NYCRUNS race credit! Or in lieu of credit for yourself, you can have us donate $25 to a cause partner of your choice. What's this all about, anyway? Learn more about the volunteer program here.
Take the C train to 72 nd St. or the 6 train to 68th St. and enter the park. The finish and bag check are located closer to the C. The start is closer to the 6. Please check MTA Trip Planner for up to date and detailed mass transit directions and Google Maps for driving directions. Parking is limited at all of our events, we strongly encourage you to use mass transit.

Strollers or dogs are not allowed in NYCRUNS races and you may be disqualified if earbuds or headphones hinder your awareness.
