The original Brooklyn Marathon returns in the form of the NYCRUNS Prospect Park Marathon! For good measure, we added a half for those of you who want less laps of Prospect Park and an ultra for those of you who want more. We're pleasers we are.
Feel like doing this one independently? You may also choose the virtual option.
This race is part of the Triboro Challenge, see below for details
There is one key turn on each course, the left turn onto Center Drive where there will be copious signage. This turn is on the east side of the park. Please read the description below for your and review the appropriate course map.
The USATF-Certified, Boston Qualifying marathon course will be comprised of 6 full loops and 3 lower loops of the park. This means that you will turn left on Center Drive 2X, pass Center Drive 6X, and then make one final left turn towards the finish.
The USATF-Certified half marathon course will be comprised of just under 4 full loops (3.25 hills) of the park and a final sprint down Center Drive. This means that you will pass Center Drive 3x and then make one final left turn to the finish.
The 50K course will be comprised of a mind boggling 8 full loops and 2 lower loops of the park. This means that you will turn left on Center Drive 1X, pass Center Drive 8X, and then make one final left turn towards the finish. During your first loop, you will also complete a quick out and back of Wellhouse Drive.
One thing you should not expect is mile markers, but we will have signage to help you keep track of where you are on the course, rubber bands to help you keep track, and a lap counting station if you completely lose track. Rubber bands will be available
We highly recommend you wear a GPS watch for this one.
There is an 8 hour time limit for the ultra and the marathon, You must start at 7 AM and you must begin your final loop by 1:30 PM.
