Join us in Prospect Park for a sweet 10K. Come out for our end of summer spectacular and what better way to end summer than with Ice Cream! There will be ice cream at the end, how about that!
You'll run almost 2 complete loops of the park (but you'll only run the hill once!) for the 10K and a little less than a loop for the 5K.
We will start the race in multiple socially distant waves, beginning as early as 7:30 AM. Your wave will be pre-determined and may not be changed. We cannot advise you of exact wave time until the week of the race. Please arrive no more than 30 minutes prior to your wave to avoid crowding on the race site.
Virtual races have been around for a few years at least and come in all shapes and sizes. Largely though, they are designed so that you can do the race you want, when you want.
You can run or walk anywhere you want, including a treadmill. You can track your miles any way you want and with any device you want. For this race, you must run your race and submit your result by December 31, 2021.
Once you've run, you'll submit your miles through our new Run This One results system which is accessible to registered runners via their dashboard. You can automatically sync via MapMyRun and Garmin Connect, or you can add runs manually of course.
Most importantly, have fun.
COVID-19 has changed many things about our events. The following procedures will be in effect for this event:
Prior to the race you will receive details on exact procedures for this event.
Bag check and toilets will be provided. If you plan on checking a bag, you must use the clear bag provided by NYCRUNS at Packet Pickup or Bag Check. The giveaway for this race will be a tech t-shirt*. Free finish line photos and video will be available on your results page within a week of the race.
* In order to cut down on waste, we try not to overorder and sizes are not guaranteed. We recommend you pick up as early as possible to ensure you get your size. Prior to the race size swaps will not be allowed. They will be allowed after the race starts.
There will be no pre-race or race day pickup for this event. Bib mailing is the only way for in person participants to get their bib for this race and is included in the cost of registration. Shirts may be picked up on race day. You must have your bib pinned to your chest to enter the race site.
Shirts will be mailed to virtual participants. Virtual participants will not receive a bib.
