Summer in New York City isn’t complete without a trip to Coney Island, and no day on the boardwalk is quite like our Coney Island Classic! You’ll join us right outside the Brooklyn Cyclones Maimonides Park to start, and then make your way up and down the boardwalk, passing iconic landmarks like the Cyclone and the Wonder Wheel.
The finish line is home plate inside Maimonides Park, but that’s just the beginning. Our post-race festival includes beer, BBQ, and a free ticket to a Cyclones game! So bring a friend and some sunscreen, and spend the day in The Playground of the World.
Feel like doing this one independently? You may also choose the virtual option.
The race starts on Surf Ave. right outside Maimonides Park. You’ll turn south, and then head east on the boardwalk. The Thunderbolt, Wonder Wheel, New York Aquarium, and so many more iconic landmarks will be your backdrop as you run out and back, finishing at home plate inside Maimonides Park.
You can run or walk anywhere you want, including a treadmill. You can track your miles any way you want and with any device you want. For this race, you must run your race and submit your result by December 31, 2022.
Once you've run, you'll submit your miles through our new Run This One results system which is accessible to registered runners via their dashboard. You can automatically sync via MapMyRun and Garmin Connect, or you can add runs manually of course.
Most importantly, have fun.
