Founded in 2009, NYCRUNS mission is to create the very best running events in New York City and to develop our flagship Brooklyn Marathon & Half Marathon into one of the most iconic running events in the world. In 2022, NYCRUNS will stage between 15 – 20 running events in NYC (and one in New Jersey) for over 50,000 athletes. We’re based in Industry City, a hip office and retail complex in Brooklyn.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE MANAGER

This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer, with the core responsibility of hiring and training enthusiastic team members to support our running events

As the Employee Experience Manager at NYCRUNS, you will be responsible for formulating orientation and retention plans for the entirety of the staff to engineer a team of people that are excited to produce some of the best running events in the world.

You will work closely with the Events Team and Senior Staff members to assess training gaps and needs, and build training programs to support operational excellence. This may include developing teaching aids such as handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visuals aids, computer tutorials or other reference work.

Additional responsibilities include onboarding all new hires, managing benefits, and preparing biweekly payroll. You will also be part of the Event Day Team, which will require working relatively early on the weekend approximately 20 days annually.  Depending on your unique skill set, other responsibilities may accrue.

EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources or training management.

 EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree required at minimum

  • Impeccable written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at a time
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Content Creation
  • An innovative and creative outlook on professional challenges

HELPFUL SKILLS

  • Enthusiasm for running and road races
  • Fluency in Spanish, Chinese, and/or other languages.
  • Strong Social Media skills
  • A clean and valid driver’s license
  • The ability to lift 25 lbs. repeatedly

SALARY RANGE

$65,000 – $90,000
