Here we go again! The 2012 Brooklyn Marathon will be held on November 18th 2012 and start promptly at 8AM. It will be an electronically timed, Boston qualifier, capped at 6 hours. NYCRUNS is partnering with The American Cancer Society and the Brooklyn Cyclones for the 8th Annual Take Your Base 5 Mile Run/Walk Against Cancer. Starting outside MCU Park, this 5 mile race takes you up and down the famous Coney Island Boardwalk before concluding with a sprint down the foul line and a spectacular finish behind home plate (No Sliding!).

After the race join fellow runners for a fabulous party including hot dogs, hamburgers, and BEER, courtesy of Brooklyn Brewery. Then, spend the day on the fabulous Coney Island boardwalk before returning for the Cyclones game at 6PM against The Aberdeen Ironbirds! Your race fee also includes a souvenier Take Your Base Cyclones jersey and a ticket to one of three games. You may choose that night's game, the night before (when the inaugural Brooklyn Marathon winners will be honored) or July 17th, when the top fundraisers for Take Your Base will be honored.

The Prospect Park Track Club is glad to announce the annual Al Goldstein Summer Speed Series. This series of races will be every other Wednesday starting May 23rd with
a two week break for July 4th. Thanks to JackRabbit Sports for their sponsorship of this series.

What will you get? A well managed electronically timed 5K in Riverside Park-  and it will cost you just $10 (less if you buy the whole series)! After the race we'll have a yummy treat for you (promise) and of course we'll have water. Prizes will be awarded onsite for the first 3 male and female finishers and the age group winners. Full results will be posted on NYCRUNS.COM as soon as possible after the race and emailed to you even sooner. No printouts - we love the trees (and hate shlepping the printer).

NYCRUNS is thrilled to return to Roosevelt Island with a great new USATF certified electronically timed and scored 10K this Labor Day!  We'll be pulling out all the stops with this one including providing a fantastic post-race breakfast.
