Freeze & Fuhgeddaboudit

This is a new series comprised of The NYCRUNS Brrrrrooklyn Hot Chocolate 10K, The Brooklyn Road Runners Club Valentine's Day 5K and The Prospect Park Track Club's Cherry Tree 10 Miler. For scoring purposes only the individual races are included; so if you enter the V-Day couples competition or the Cherry Tree Relay you cannot win a Freeze & Fuhgeddaboudit Prize.

1. To win a Freeze & Fuhgeddaboudit Prize, you must race in all three individual races.  What’s an F&F Prize you may be asking?  It’s going to be this amazing, kick-ass, one-of-a-kind bag that will provide proof that you fought through the frostbite and ice this winter and came out victorious!  It’s a Bag of Honor!

2. PR’s are so 2011.  2012 will be the year of the Supertime!  We will add your net times for all three races together to create a Supertime. If your combined Supertime ranks 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd overall in your age group, you’ll be eligible for an F&F Prize. If you finish 1^st overall in either the men’s, women’s or masters’ division, you also win a free entry to the 2012 Brooklyn Marathon.  But remember, you have to race in each individual competition of all three races.

3. You must email us within three days of the Cherry Tree 10 Miler to let us know that you completed all three races. The address to email is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 4. To claim your F&F Prize, you will need to come to another NYCRUNS race – we hate mailing!  We really want our winners to be rewarded, but we can’t hang onto these Prizes forever.  We hope to see you soon!
